Together we work to define and promote best practices and share ideas to help enhance the effectiveness and value of conducting research using social media. We strive to foster education and open communications not only among members but also among vertical industries as well as social media users. The SMRA invites anyone with an interest in using social media research to improve their marketing effectiveness to join us in shaping the future of this emerging industry. | SMRA Structure The Social Media Research Association has a unique structure that allows more fluid action and open discussion beyond the traditional structure of a trade association. The SMRA is organized to allow members to interact and provide input on their own terms in an asynchronous manner, without endless meetings or burdensome board member responsibilities of typical trade associations. Within this structure, committee work is vital to the ongoing growth of the SMRA. We are all busy with our own businesses, and we understand that your time is valuable. This website and our various social media forums allow for open collaboration, idea-sharing, and debate among industry professional that positively contributes to our members and social media research in general. The SMRA offers the following opportunities for member involvement and engagement:
Advisory Board Our Advisory Board has members from around the world who represent various sides of the mobile marketing research industry including research agencies, consultants, technology developers and clients. The Advisory Board, creates the strategic plan and provides guidance and support to committees. The board meets several times a year to develop the strategic plans for the association. Committees are volunteer groups that work together on important industry initiatives. Committees include:
Each committee has two chair-persons who guide and work together with their committee members to create programs, educational materials and promotions for the benefit of all members. Committees generally meet as needed to further the goals of the committees.
